Toray Composites (America), Inc. , (TCA) was established as a Washington State corporation in May of 1992. Located on 25 acres in the Port of Tacoma's Frederickson Industrial area, it is within 24 miles of scenic Mt. Rainier.

TCA's facilities include a prepreg production facility as well as a state-of-the-art Technical Center charged with research and development of new carbon composites applications.

TCA adds more than 300 jobs to the Puget Sound region and offers many benefits to its workforce. The company is an active member of the local community.

Toray Composites (America), Inc., is a leading producer of high quality advanced composite prepreg materials serving the needs of the recreational, aircraft and industrial markets.

Torayca® prepreg materials are produced using the hot-melt film process which results in superior prepreg areal weight and per-ply thickness control. Our primary product lines consist of 250°F & 350°F curing epoxies. Current fiber reinforced product forms include: carbon fiber unidirectional (UD) & fabric and glass fiber fabrics.  Fiber areal weights ranging from 70 gm/ m2 up to 370 gm/m2 , with others available on request .

TCA to Participate in Farnborough Air Show

TCA’s President, Mr. Toshiyuki Kondo, and TCA’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Tim Kirk, will attend this year’s Farnborough Air Show in Farnborough, England from July 19, 2010 through July 23, 2010. Mr. Kirk stated that, “This is an excellent opportunity to meet face-to-face with our customers around the globe and update ourselves on the pulse of the industry.” As we expand our global customer base, these events provide an excellent opportunity to highlight our prepreg technology and process development with our customers and to discuss new ways to meet their changing requirements.
